About Our CompanyNatvik Design Inc. (NDI) was founded in 1999 by Mathis Natvik. Mathis spent the next 20 years providing ecological garden designs, supplies, and installations to a variety of clients throughout southwestern Ontario. In 2019, Mathis relocated to Calgary, Alberta where he now teaches landscape architecture at the University of Calgary.
NDI is currently offering consultations and site assessments, workshops, and public talks covering a wide range of topics under the ecological landscaping umbrella. Mathis's areas of expertise include green roofs, rain gardens and other stormwater features, xeriscaping, pollinator gardens, low-maintenance gardens, pond and wetland establishment, and wildflower meadows.
